born in chicago raised in upstate NY just moved to Atlanta GA...let's see how this goes...a chronicle of my first 365 days in dixie
Day 12: after a hard day of posting resumes we decided to take a walk down to little five points and got to shop around the junkman’s daughter a new favorite shopping location, and found the darling little numbers for about $15 a piece!!

I swear the shock of how much cheaper things are everywhere but NY will eventually wear off but right now I feel like I’m in a beautiful land of amazing bargains and I like it!

Day 11: my first trip ever to whole foods. Hot lots of yummy stuff but my dread of all things hipster is keeping me from enjoying what is pretty great food.

Somehow the fact that they sell the fray CDs at the checkout makes me want to sigh and roll my eyes rather than by delighted and psyched by the ‘coolness’ of the store.

Did you ever notice that ‘What the hell’ is always the right decision?

Today we met up with some of rick’s old friends from scad. Turns out one had entered his design into a local store’s logo contest.. Even tho his was by far the best, he wasn’t the winner but we decided to celebrate anyhow at grant central pizza with delicious fat tire dig and sweet pizza that by would be glad to have.

Day 7: i cannot believe that one week ago we left ny. It feels like 10 seconds ago. So today a friend passed along a job posting so I figured I’d dip my tackle in the waters of actually trying to become gainfully employed and dropped off a resume today- good luck little envelope!!!

Day 6:

It seems weird to say we stayed in for most of today but we did. I got loads of boxes unpacked and it’s finally starting to look like we live here!

fill me up with music, I can take it

day 5:

Against Rick’s advice I decided to go ahead and buy tickets to see Frank Turner(one of my new favorites) and the Dropkick Murphy’s at the tabernacle. It was the BEST decision. Though we were exhausted from the  move the tabernacle had great beer the music was GREAT and we had an AMAZING time!! as evidenced by this drunken photo we took of ourselves..you will note that it’s actually of a happy goth guy behind us….

OH! and freaking frank turner worked his own merch booth! who does that?!! he talked to everyone and was SUPER nice I already adore Atlanta!
